Insurers: Not to Abolish Tax Reliefs

The Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies likes for the Ministry of Finance not to break its promise not to abolish tax reliefs in life insurance policies. But, after the recent developments in income, there might be a cut in tax exemptions, under income criteria, for incomes over 50,000 euro.

The HAIC will require consultation with the highest level leadership of the Ministry of Finance next week, to bring the problem to their attention by pointing out that life insurance is not a savings and investment gains, but a vital and mandatory insurance.
