Abundance of decisions on freezing Psomiadis’s assets

On Friday, May 17th, the court granted the request for restraining order to freeze 15, 5 million in accounts belonging to people and companies related to P. Psomiadis.  This is the third court decision, regarding this issue, after the one filed on behalf of G. Diamantopoulos, former owner οf General Union and General Trust.

The request was made on behalf of 157 persons who have bought Aspi’s Capital bonds.  Bear in mind, that a few weeks ago, another application with similar content, was also granted.

This one was filed on behalf of 63 clients- bondholders of Capital and another 8.5 million dollars were frozen.  These 24 million have been traced in accounts belonging to Mr. Psomiadis’s relatives. According to Capital’s balance sheet, Mr. Psomiadis had “lent”   46 million out of the total 75 million invested by the firm’s clients.

Note that the court also granted another application filed on behalf of G. Diamantopoulos, former owner of General Union and General Trust, since he was offered 4.5 million euros from Psomiadis to sell his companies.

The sale took place in February 2009, just a few months before Psomiadis’s companies shut down.
